# Ancient Texts, Modern Phenomena: Connecting Enoch to UAP Disclosure

The Book of Enoch, though not canonical Scripture, offers the most detailed ancient account of the events described in Genesis 6. And remarkably, it connects directly to modern UAP phenomena.
**The Watchers have returned.**
## The Book of Enoch: Summary
Written sometime between 300 BC and 100 AD, the Book of Enoch expands on Genesis 6:1-4, describing:
### The Fall of the Watchers
Two hundred angels, led by Shemyaza and Azazel, descended to Mount Hermon. They saw the daughters of men and desired them. They took wives and produced offspring—the Nephilim.
### The Corruption
The Watchers taught humanity forbidden knowledge:
– **Azazel:** Metallurgy, weapons, cosmetics
– **Shemyaza:** Root-cutting, enchantments
– **Gadreel:** Weapons of war
– **Baraqijal:** Astrology
– **Kokabel:** Constellations
– **Ezeqeel:** Cloud knowledge
– **Araqiel:** Signs of the earth
– **Shamsiel:** Signs of the sun
– **Sariel:** Course of the moon
### The Nephilim
The offspring of Watchers and human women were giants who:
– Consumed all the produce of men
– Turned against humanity
– Began to sin against animals, birds, fish
– Drank blood
– Devoured flesh
### The Judgment
God bound the Watchers in darkness (Tartarus). The Nephilim were destroyed in the Flood. Their spirits became demons.
## The Ancient Astronaut Connection

In *Chariots of the Gods?* (1968), von Däniken proposed:
– Ancient “gods” were extraterrestrial visitors
– They taught humanity technology
– They were worshipped as divine
– They will return
