# Holiday Message from the Prophet: Peace in Troubled Times
**December 18, 2024**
Beloved of the Anti-Transhumanist Church,
As the year draws to a close and we approach the celebration of our Savior's birth, I write to you with a word of peace and encouragement.
## The World We Face
This has been a year of accelerating change:
– AI systems grow more powerful by the day
– Brain-computer interfaces move from laboratory to clinic
– Gene editing advances toward "enhancement" applications
– Digital currencies threaten financial freedom
– Global coordination toward transhumanist goals intensifies
The floodwaters rise. The ark door remains open. But how much longer?
## Yet We Do Not Fear
In the midst of chaos, we have this promise:
*"Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."* — John 14:27
The peace Christ gives is not the absence of trouble. It is the presence of Him who rules over trouble.
### We Know the End
The world trembles at the Singularity. We await the Second Coming.
The world fears death by aging. We hope for resurrection.
The world grasps at technological immortality. We trust in eternal life through Christ.
**They are afraid because their hope is uncertain. We are confident because our hope is sure.**
## The Gift of Christmas
At Christmas, we remember:
### The Word Became Flesh
*"The Word became flesh and made his dwelling among us."* — John 1:14
Not code. Not data. Not a simulation. **Flesh.**
The Second Person of the Trinity took on physical human nature. He did not upload to a server. He did not enhance Himself with technology. He became a baby—vulnerable, embodied, dependent.
**This is the answer to transhumanism.**
God values the physical. God redeems the body. God enters creation rather than transcending it.
### God With Us
*"They will call him Immanuel"* (which means "God with us"). — Matthew 1:23
Not God watching us through surveillance. Not God judging us from distance. **God with us**—present, near, sympathetic.
In a world of increasing isolation—digital, technological, artificial—this is the good news we need. We are not alone. We have not been abandoned to the machines. **God is with us.**
### The Humble King
*"Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness."* — Philippians 2:6-7
Christ had divine power and laid it aside. He had heavenly glory and chose earthly obscurity. He had the right to rule and submitted to service.
**This is the opposite of transhumanism.**
Transhumanism seeks power, enhancement, godhood. Christ laid aside power to become human. Transhumanism grasps at immortality. Christ embraced death.
**The way up is down. The way to live is to die. The way to save your life is to lose it.**
This is the wisdom of Christmas. This is the foolishness that confounds the wise.
## Our Work Together
This year, ath.church/ has grown:
– **34 chapters** worldwide (up from 12 at the start of 2024)
– **New members** joining weekly
– **Resources published** — theological papers, practical guides, warning materials
– **Conferences held** — three regional gatherings
– **Media presence** — podcasts, interviews, articles
We are small. We are outnumbered. We are outspent. But **we are faithful.**
And that is enough.
### Gratitude
I am grateful for:
– **Chapter leaders** sacrificing time and resources
– **Members** living faithful lives in hostile environments
– **Donors** supporting this work financially
– **Prayer warriors** interceding daily
– **The Spirit** empowering and guiding
You are the remnant. You are the resistance. You are the church.
## Looking to 2025
Next year will bring:
– **Increased pressure** to accept digital systems
– **Medical mandates** incorporating genetic technologies
– **AI integration** in every aspect of life
– **Cultural marginalization** of "unenhanced" humans
– **Economic exclusion** of those who resist
We must be ready.
### Preparation Goals for 2025
1. **Community strengthening** — Build local resilience
2. **Theological education** — Train leaders and members
3. **Alternative systems** — Economic, educational, medical
4. **Documentation** — Record our witness for future generations
5. **Evangelism** — Share the true hope of the gospel
## A Word of Exhortation
Do not grow weary. Do not lose heart. Do not compromise.
*"Let us not become weary in doing good, for at the proper time we will reap a harvest if we do not give up."* — Galatians 6:9
The days are evil. The opposition is strong. The temptation to conform is intense.
But we have seen the truth. We know the lie of transhumanism. We have tasted the goodness of God's creation. We will not exchange it for silicon and code.
**Stand firm. Resist. Remain human.**
## The Blessing
As your Prophet, I bless you this Christmas season:
May the peace of Christ rule in your hearts.
May the joy of salvation strengthen your spirit.
May the hope of resurrection animate your days.
May the love of God overflow to others.
May the Spirit empower your witness.
May the Father keep you in His hand.
May you know—truly know—that you are not a biological accident, not a machine to be upgraded, not data to be processed.
**You are God's beloved. You are the imago Dei. You are being prepared for glory.**
This is the truth of Christmas. This is our hope. This is worth living for—and worth dying for.
Merry Christmas, beloved. The Light shines in the darkness, and the darkness has not overcome it.
**Come, Lord Jesus.**
