# New Chapter Announcement: ath.church/ Expands to Oslo, Norway
**December 4, 2024**
We are pleased to announce the establishment of our newest chapter in **Oslo, Norway**—bringing the total number of ath.church/ chapters worldwide to **34**.
## Why Oslo?
Norway represents both the challenge and the opportunity we face:
### High-Tech Society
Norway is one of the most digitally integrated nations on earth. Cash is nearly obsolete. Digital ID systems are comprehensive. The population is highly educated and tech-savvy.
**If we can build resistance here, we can build it anywhere.**
### Strong Christian Heritage
Despite secularization, Norway's Christian roots run deep. The Lutheran tradition emphasizes Scripture and the priesthood of all believers—foundations we can build upon as we teach biblical anthropology in an age of transhumanist deception.
### Strategic Location
As a founding member of NATO and a key European nation, Norway's cultural direction influences the broader Nordic region and Europe. A thriving chapter here can model resistance for others.
## The Oslo Chapter
### Leadership
The Oslo chapter is led by **Pastor Erik Solheim**, a former software engineer who left the tech industry after becoming convicted about the spiritual dangers of AI and transhumanism. Pastor Erik holds degrees in theology from MF Norwegian School of Theology and brings both technical expertise and pastoral heart to the role.

### Meeting Location
The chapter meets weekly at **St. Hanshaugen Community Center** in central Oslo:
– **Sunday Worship:** 11:00 AM
– **Wednesday Study:** 7:00 PM
– **Monthly Resistance Workshop:** First Saturday, 2:00 PM
### Focus Areas
The Oslo chapter has identified three priorities:
1. **Youth Discipleship** — Countering transhumanist influence in education
2. **Digital Detox Communities** — Helping families reduce technology dependence
3. **Theological Training** — Teaching pastors and leaders across Norway

The Oslo chapter began with five believers meeting in a living room. Today, they are 40 strong and growing. **If they can do it, so can you.**
